The Alliance Française is a dynamic network of 100+ local chapters  passionate about promoting the French language and celebrating  francophone cultures. 

The mission of the Fondation Alliance Française is to develop the teaching and use of the French language, foster the promotion and influence of Francophone cultures, and contribute to linguistic and cultural diversity.

At Alliance Française de Chicago, skilled teachers, authors, performers and artists share their passion for the French language and its various cultures. Expertise in teaching is complemented by a rich array of public programs (most in English).

The mission of Alliance Française du North Shore is to inspire and foster an appreciation and   enjoyment of French language and francophone cultures through educational, intellectual, artistic, charitable and social endeavors.

The Consulate General of France  in Chicago protects the interests of French  residents and tourists in the 13 States of of jurisdiction  (Illinois,Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota,  Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin).

The French Consulate  also contributes to developing ties and advancing partnerships between  France and the Midwestern United States.

Cultural Services of the French Embassy promote the best of French arts, literature, cinema, language, and higher education across the US.

The Institut français is the French government's service which promotes and develops cultural projects distributed in Alliance Française chapters and other venues worldwide.
