Our French language conversation groups are open to all AF DuPage members regardless of French fluency. All levels of French are welcome and we invite beginners & native speakers to come together for informal conversation.

We ask that our members support our host restaurants by purchasing something to eat or drink during the gathering.
For in-person conversation groups, we are unable to reserve tables, so seating will be first come, first served.
The Zoom link will be sent to all members one day before the event. There is no need to pre-register.
Zoom sessions may be divided into small “breakout rooms” which enable more intimate conversation with some of your AF DuPage friends.

Knoch Knolls Park

Knoch Knolls Park is a very expansive park with two multi-use fields, nine disc golf nets, a pond and restroom facility on site. If you are coming from Ogden Ave and Washinton St., head south for about 5 miles until you get to Ring Road, (1st light after 87th St.). Turn right on Ring Road and your first left onto Knoch Knolls Rd and follow for about 1 mile until you see the Knoch Knolls Nature Center on the left
and park in the lot. If you are coming from Boughton Rd and Weber Rd., head north and continue onto Washington until you get to Ring Rd. Turn left onto Ring Rd. and follow the above directions. We’ll meet in the parking lot area closest to the Nature Center.
Our Marcher-Bavarder programs are a great way to energize your morning with your AF DuPage friends and speak French while walking. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers and bring your own water.

Please check that the email address you enter in the sign-up form is correct. Everyone who has registered will receive an email the day before the walk with more details and directions to the meet up point.
Our Rendez-vous provides more opportunities to say “Bonjour” to each other and for you to interact with the AF DuPage leadership team. Think of them as mini Open House meetings. The details are simple!

An opportunity to chat, en français, with Alliance Française members across the United States.
Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm Central Time, hosted by Linda Witt, Federation of Alliances Françaises USA Board Past-President
Attendees will be assigned to breakout rooms of 4-5 people, with each breakout session lasting 12-14 minutes. The rooms are then re-created (for a different mix each time). In this way, participants get to meet and chat with a variety of participants from different backgrounds and fluency levels.
This group is for intermediate to advanced (or fluent) speakers who are current members of an Alliance Française chapter in the U.S.
