For in-person conversation groups, we are unable to reserve tables, so seating will be first come, first served.

Marcher et Bavarder - A Walking Conversation Group
Let’s walk off our Fête de Noël calories and speak some French while we do that!

Our Marcher-Bavarder programs are a great way to energize your morning with your AF DuPage friends and speak French while walking. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers and bring your own water.

Please check that the email address you enter in the sign-up form is correct. Everyone who has registered will receive an email the day before the walk with more details and directions to the meet up point.
Rendez-Vous avec Nous
Our Rendez-vous provides more opportunities to say “Bonjour” to each other and for you to interact with the AF DuPage leadership team. Think of them as mini Open House meetings. The details are simple!
- All members - long timers or new - are welcome
- Hear about upcoming events
- Share your thoughts about AFD: what you like, what you’d like to see added or changed
- Speak French or not, depending on your ability. We understand our French language skills vary greatly.

Apéro National by the Federation of Alliances Françaises
An opportunity to chat, en français, with Alliance Française members across the United States.
Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm Central Time, hosted by Linda Witt, Federation of Alliances Françaises USA Board Past-President
Attendees will be assigned to breakout rooms of 4-5 people, with each breakout session lasting 12-14 minutes. The rooms are then re-created (for a different mix each time). In this way, participants get to meet and chat with a variety of participants from different backgrounds and fluency levels.
This group is for intermediate to advanced (or fluent) speakers who are current members of an Alliance Française chapter in the U.S.
