Our French language conversation groups are open to all AF DuPage members regardless of French fluency. All levels of French are welcome and we invite beginners & native speakers to come together for informal conversation.
All in-person conversation groups are cancelled indefinitely.
We will hold online conversation groups for Alliance Française de DuPage members via Zoom at the times listed below. Members, please watch your email for an invitation. No need to pre-register.
Groups are broken up into small “breakout rooms” which enable more intimate conversation with some of your AF DuPage friends.
Sunday, March 7, 2:00 pm
Wednesday, March 10, 10 am
Monday, March 15, 7 pm
An opportunity to chat, en français, with Alliance Française members across the United States.
Tuesday evenings at 4:15 pm Central - hosted by Charles Coulon, AF DuPage Vice-President and Federation of AFUSA Board Member
Wednesday evenings at 7:15 pm Central -hosted by Linda Witt - Federation of Alliances Françaises USA Board President
Similar to our own AF DuPage conversation groups, attendees will be assigned to breakout rooms of 4-5 people, with each breakout session lasting 12-14 minutes. The rooms are then re-created (for a different mix each time). In this way, participants get to meet and chat with a variety of participants from different backgrounds and fluency levels.
The group is for intermediate to advanced (or fluent) speakers who are current members of an Alliance Française chapter in the U.S.
The national group meets by Zoom for 55 minutes on the second Tuesday and the second Wednesdays of each month. You can attend one, or the other, or both!
