We are looking for a volunteer to join our Programming team to help generate the advertising content for our events.
You will help by compiling event descriptions, locations, photos and sign-up forms on the various events we organize. You will then relay them to our website and email editors and guide them on when to send the announcements so the events can be advertised to our Alliance Française DuPage community.
Expected time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours a month depending on volume of events.
Volunteers should already have experience with, and be comfortable working with tools like Microsoft Word, Google Documents, Google Forms etc.
Training will be provided on the process and tools available to generate the content.
If you have further questions on this or wish to apply for this role, please contact us at afdupage@gmail.com.
Thank you in advance for your interest.
Alliance Française DuPage members come from all over the Western suburbs of Chicago and beyond. We have a variety of in-person and online events.
Take a moment to look through our website at our wide variety of AF DuPage events and activities: French conversation groups, Language Workshop, Book Club, Ciné Club, and Special Events.
We would be delighted to see you! We’re a vibrant, diverse group and we’re eager to welcome new members. Whether you are a fluent French speaker or just enjoy French culture, you are sure to find an event that engages your desire for French language and cultural programming.
We move our feast of activities throughout DuPage County and the Fox River Valley region, from Naperville to Wheaton to Downers Grove to Geneva and Saint Charles. The Covid-19 pandemic brought us all online and we have kept a level of online programming in addition to more in-person gatherings.
For some events and activities, the Alliance Française of DuPage County requires an additional event fee which can be paid by check or PayPal. Since expenses are often paid or guaranteed before an event, we are not able to assure a refund if a cancellation occurs after a payment has been received.
If a cancellation occurs prior to the event date, the event fee may be refunded at the discretion of the board if a replacement can be found.
The Alliance Française de DuPage is run entirely by volunteers and financed almost entirely by membership dues. You will find members from all walks of life and with all levels of French, from beginners to native speakers, and make good friends as you attend our events.
So, n'attendez plus! Sign up below to be on our mailing list and come join us soon at an upcoming event.
